The Acronym, TAPP, stands for Transition, Assessment, Preparation and Planning.  It is one of five programs currently offered by the Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania.

Check out the newsletter "TEAM" created by  campers at the Spina Bifida Teen Camping Session for 2001!

MISSION

To initiate advanced planning and preparation for an effective transition to post-high school life: training, employment, and community living for individuals with spina bifida.

The objectives of the program are designed to promote employability skills, competency, self-confidence, social adjustment, and self-reliance.

The program is intended to provide information which accompanies appropriate assessment of an individual currently in school.

Job simulations provide participants an opportunity to learn about different careers through learning activities and hands-on performance of job tasks common to a specific career field.

The TAPP program operates at The Woodlands during the spina bifida summer camping sessions.
